Looking for the 90 degree adapter that fits to the drive on the Tach.

Are these still made?

I know that Team Hansen has them on their tachos - I just got a quote on a tacho including mounting brackets and 90 degree adaptor.


But unfortunately my pockets arent deep enough for the $1235 they are asking :o :o :o


Where did you purchase your tacho?? I've looked at some smith replicas from an Aussie guy. but maybe there is other options??

I know him well, I'll drop him a mail. I forgot that he does the Tach's.....must be age!

I bought one of the Ozz smiths replica tach's. but it came in a raw alloy finish plus the face dial is not correct. so I made a new housing with a screw on face ring anodised black, and had a new face dial made with the correct look.

I'll take some pics over the weekend.

Just scored a vintage smiths oil pressure gauge 0-160 psi from Ebay UK. been looking for over a year.

Ok!! well, I might have to do the same :)
So YOU where the one who got the  £54 Aston pressure gauge!!  ;D ;D one of our fellow builders gave me a hint, but was too lazy to get in the bidding  :'( :'( I thought they where way more common... guess I should start listen to people  ::) ::)

Ive actually though about buying something else as my replica is turning more and more out to be the black sheep of the replica family hence her name Bastard CR replica  ;) My wallet aint deep enough to go all the way... Most of the build is made with an angle grinder, a hand drill on a small stand and a AC/DC tig welder and of course common hand tools.

Yes I bought that one, I jumped on it as soon as I saw it. been looking for so long. thanks to Simon for the Aston Martin tip. (he mentioned it in a post somewhere)

Also if anyone got a print of the oil gauge face. I would love to get my hands in one of those as my plan is to buy a Mocal gauge and change the face.

I believe Speedy Cables have the graphics for the Smith's oil pressure guage. They might even make you a new guage.

A few pics of my replica CR tach, this is the replica smiths unit from Ozz. I made a new face and a new housing with a screw on ring. anodised bright black.

I have a CR 750 tachometer that I installed for a while on my personal CB 750.  Since that time I sold the bike with standard instruments and kept the tach.  If anyone is interested in this tach to build an accurate CR 750 replica, please respond to this post.

@ others; did the same eBay hunt and found my oil pressure also after 1 year. My carbs even took 4 years. It takes time when your on a budget, but it can be done...
