What have you lost?
« on: June 24, 2011, 08:38:48 AM »
Is it me or does it seem that sometimes, things just vanish from your pockets while riding. So far I've lost a phone and a knife, probably due to my own carelessness. Have you had any "where did it go" moments?

Wait until you hit 70, then things up to the size of years vanish in micro seconds.

My wife lost her virginity......now thats funny.

One nite a few years back i lost 12 points on my license and the $5k to the lawyer to make it all go away....

I lost my mental development in my youth as i rode from dealers house to dealers house......

I watched a bag of mother natures finest come out of my levi jacket pocket and fly past the brain bucket visor and over my shoulder at 100 mph at 3am....

Sorry im fixated on the negatives 2nite.......boats 8)

I left some denim, leather and skin on an off ramp once. I guess it was lost, I couldn't put it back.

Of all the things I lost...
I miss my mind the most..!

Since I had a few nasty accidents.. I lost my sympathy for other injured riders.
Willing to help them discuss the attitude portion.. just dont feel their pain.. If they
are worse off than I was.. I feel a bit sorry.. sometimes..
Sorta weird but I really respect the ones that deal with it well..

My Johnny Bravo (gotta love Johnny) keychain flew off while riding but airspeed kept it pressed against my leg long enough to grab it.  I held the keychain in my teeth until I could pull over.  All to no avail, the rubber wound up tearing through about a month later and was lost for good.

Not so much what I've lost but what I found - many years ago riding in traffic a tool in a tintop in front of me flicked his cig butt out - it landed in my lap :o
I managed to grab it, and as we pulled up at the traffic lights I lane split and pulled up along side his open window and flicked the still burning butt back at him with the words something like "drop something *%#@?". The look on his face was priceless.  ;D

Yesterday a biker lost his cell phone right in front of my friends house.
We called someone on his list and he came and retrieved it.

His pictures were dull. :(

I know a guy that stopped to pee on the way home and  later discovered his phone missing. The next night he stopped to pee at the same spot and heard it ringing.
