2 or 3 hours, maybe.  Include AL 25, from Leeds to Vincent, one of the best roads in the state.  If enough are interested, we'll do something, maybe get some lunch, too.

Got a group coming down on Friday from Nashville. Trying to get a head-count now but I think there's like 7 or 8 of us. Spots reserved in Lot C.

If I can get with Ray this weekend or early next week I'll be on the 750! Otherwise it's the KZ which is currently in the shop for new fork seals/neck bearings/wheel bearings.
If it's worth doing, it's worth doing twice.

Also, I seem to recall from last year that they'd let more than 2 bikes "share" a camping spot. Is that still the case? 'Cause they're all sold out.

I would think they would still allow more then one person per camp site.  That's what Chris and I are gonna do.

Well I know they'll let at least two, but I thought they'd let up to 4 bikes to one spot? I just emailed 'em - we'll see.

If you need to park a bike somewhere else, the club tent have some security, and I can make sure you can get a spot at ours.

I don't remember them enforcing any rules other than getting in the main gate.(well.....there was that incident with Travis and the dynamite.....I think they dropped the charges though..) ;D ;D

I have a campsite reserved  in C and it's just me and 1 bike.  Cmon down.......i think it'll all work out ;D

I decided to wuss out and get a hotel.  I don't like to pack a bunch of crap and I started thinking about extra crap I'd have to strap on (heh heh  :-X) if I camped out there.  So, I've got a pass to area B if anyone wants it.   I'll probably be getting into the area early Friday morning.

I don't know about you guys but I can't wait.  On a side note, did anyone else catch the old planes that flew over last year?  What the hell was that all about?  Cool as hell though.
Just call me Timmaaaaay!!!

FIW, the planes were part of an acrobatic flying group that put on shows.  They're gonna be there again this year.

Let's get some plans firmed up for this week. What I know so far......Bart is coming to my house Wednesday Eve. and crashing. Travis and Chris...Do ya'll want to meet at my house for departure? What time?...........Has anyone heard from Ray? If he is still wanting to meet us...The Varsity (Downtown) would probably be a good spot. Gotta work out the timing. I figure about 45" - 1 hour from my house to The Varsity (dam weekday morning traffic to be dealt with.............Other than finding Chris some decent scotch......that's all I know. Fill in the blanks.

Cheers,

Bill

For those wishing to "share" a campsite, the fine folks at Barber offered "tow-vehicle" passes to us last year.  That gives you the all-important pass to drive into camp w/o buying a site for each rider. The number of tow vehicle passes per purchased site is the only thing up in the air.

Just got home with the Nashville crewTugboat and Nash-Dash @ 5:30 pm.... had to fix Tug's bike at Barbers before we left for the 200+ mile ride home !!... His bike died with a dead battery and wasn't charging  :(. Turned-out to be a bad connection at the rectifier block connector, whew, we were worried there for a while  :o.......... apart from that it was a knockout weekend of racing, chatting to the large number of SOHC4 members present and the absolute highlight.... 3 laps of the racetrack on my K1 with a load of SOHC4 bikes..... heaven  8) 8)
