interesting. have seen torsion on front ends but not the rear. knowing bugger all as usual, would they need a damper to stop the wheel hopping around ?

I just ROFL'd in my pants. THATS WILD!!! I bet that thing will rattle your fillings loose. You'd definitely need some sort of damper.

Now to be fair, it doesn't claim to improve handling. It just says "fantastic handling". Fantastic can mean many things:

Currently I'm running the 2" lower shocks from CycleX
It would be awesome to turn some of those torsion things as a test.

I wonder why these dissapeared since nobody heard or seen of them  ;)
the chrome wasn't the reason for sale succes I think...

FWIW, I'm not a shill for Race Tech - I've just got a thing for good suspension and the RTCE's are the most cost-effective mod for these old damping rod front ends.

Primitive but likely effective. A "friction dampener" on each mounting point and the knuckle. Appear to be adjustable. Whcih with a lot of riding you'd have to adjust them as they wear out.

Image search on the Google Machine for "scissor damper".  I believe that they have alternating layers of steel and leather to provide the friction.
