Some folks might find this twin nitrous injected VMax a little garish, but I quite like it, in a "Look at me, look at me!" kind of way...... ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

What I like about it is that full functionality appears to have been retained. The paint scheme doesn't do much for me, but it is just "window dressing" after all. This is a case where form did not trump function. Kudos!  8)

Uglier than a hat full of arse holes but I'd still have it ( most of its shortcomings could be fixed with $10 of flat black spray cans )

But ...bog stock suspension wheels and tyres with that much HP, that's just scary

Now when do I get a test ride ?

Actually had a close look at that yellow vmax a few weeks ago down at slacks creek..
Sure, it sticks out like dogs balls but it looks well put together.
Id think it would be quick and even alot more dangerous than the original.
I think you'd  be inundated with bike folks wanting to talk to you about it if they seen you on it..

Yeah, the problem with buying an ex show bike or even show car is you are riding someone else's creation, and once it's been on the show circuit awhile and everyone's seen it, it becomes kind of worthless.

Years ago a young bloke I knew offered me his HQ Statesman show car that he'd spend over $80K on, for $20K. He'd been trying to sell it for a year, and while it was still in really good condition, the only guys interested were other show car builders who wanted to tear it apart and build an entirely different style of car out of it, or just wanted it for the engine, blower and driveline etc. Even the custom billet wheels he had made were of no interest to anyone.

I love the idea of a VMax with nitrous, but I'd rather buy a stocker and do it myself, than buy that thing with way too much yellow, IMHO............ ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I thought that went without saying.
When the price gets low enough, someone will buy it for the motor and junk the rest.

Yep, someone was selling a horrible CB750 chopper on a FB page recently and while all the "experts" were opining on who would buy such a pig ugly pole, someone else sneaked in and bought it. ;D

I like it. You coould keep your barely rideable investment on it's golden pedestal while flogging the sh1t out of that Yam. I do remember when the TR1 (I think that's what they called it) first came out before Yamaha turned it into a Yama-Harley that folks were comparing it to the Vincents, especially the rear suspension setup. ;D
