Hello from Arizona..
« on: July 20, 2011, 08:51:34 AM »
Greetings,

Just signed up and have a lot to read. I had been searching for an older Honda CB for quite a while. Most were to the point of no return, hacked to death or just plain part bikes. good luck finding one with a valid title.

I was leaving town and while the other half was packing I jumped on Craig's List to look around. I had given up the search for several months. Here was a 1977 CB 750K with new tires, chain and battery. Ad stated "good original condition". Will see.

After contacting the seller we decided to swing buy and take a look. Well, the seller was correct. Other than the Vetter fairing it was original right down to the owners manual under the seat. As a matter of fact I have only found a couple of bolts that were not. Sold!

It has become to hot and the project is on hold until Fall. I did manage to get a lot done on her and have some work ahead. I will be replacing the front end with original finish fork lowers. I picked up the forks you see here and rebuilt them. Not into the polished look.

Replaced most of the front end after removing the fairing including the front rim. Waiting on carburetors, have the side covers in for paint etc.

Here are some before and current pictures.

Greetings from Colorado. Looks like a nice find!
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

First off, welcome! looks like a nice bike, wish my K7 looked that good.

May be interested in the polished forks, I am into that look.

Good Luck.

Thanks everyone.

Yeah, I'll have a lot of parts for sale this Fall. No sense posting now as it is just to hot in the garage.

It will be the fork tubes, polished lowers with top fork caps. All new seals on each. Lowers not perfect but presentable.

Headlight, headlight ring and mounting ears also. Will be selling the exhaust. Not perfect but nice. Also have the right and left exhaust pipes, new OEM. Still thinking on those. Part 18400/18300. 405 series.

Currently have a complete 1978 CB 750K decal set on ebay. New in package if anyone is interested.
