1st Cafe Racer Project ...1973 CB 350F
« on: July 21, 2011, 05:57:13 PM »
Hi guys !  This is my first post so bear with me on form.   My son and I are beginning a Cafe Racer project on a 73 350F.  The bike was not running when I got it and the carbs were off, partiallly disassembled and in a bucket. I got new floats ( which cost out the nose)  the old ones were totally shot.  And I got rebuild kits off ebay , they came from Japan. My idea was to get the bike running and acess the engine and transmission before total disassembly for the rebuild.  The carbs cleaned up really well but I have hit a snag. Both the float valve seat and the main jet with new orings seem entirely too FAT to go in.  Did I get a bum kit or is there some trick to installing push in jets that I never learned ?  Also does anyone have and spare orings for float valve, main jet and drain screw that they want to sell ?    I have looked over hundreds of posts on here and gained a world of knowledge, thanks . I saw several references to a carb guide by someone named TBoughen, but I simply cannot find it , any ideas where it might be ?

I will post some pics in another post because the first time I tried to put them in here I lost everything.

thanks,
Robb
