Mechanical advancer unit
« on: August 01, 2011, 11:59:05 AM »
I need one for my cb750 F1.

Does anyone know if all the 750 ones are the same?

What about for 400/500/550/650?

Anyone know for sure, or able to check part numbers?

All i realy need are the weights and springs.

Cant find any for a 750, but found some for a 400. They look the same, but are they?

Based on the part number, yes all advancers for the 750's are the same.

BUT - I clearly remember reading that the various years had different advance curves.  I would expect that the differing curves were achieved by using different springs and/or weights.

Others with more knowledge need to chime in . . . .
