anyone ever seen one of these models of a sohc engine?
« on: August 09, 2011, 12:35:41 PM »
i found it on amazon. its a model that you put together. i wonder how detailed it really is. like does it have every nut and bolt and you have to build it correctly for the model to work?
it has this bit of info on the site:
This kit represents an operating plastic assembly kit of a Classic 4-cylinder air-cooled overhead cam motorcycle engine from the 1970’s. The assembled kit can be displayed with a portion of the cylinder head removed to demonstrate the operation of internal parts including pistons, valves and overhead camshaft.

I got one I bought at a yard sale years ago. Looks very realistic. Also runs on two AA batteries.Would be cool to have on a desk in an office setting at work.

Hmmm...the engine stand is backward in that picture.  ::)
If it were a real engine, it would be sitting on its exhaust ports!  ;D

I have one. I've been too busy working on the real thing to put it together.
