Since I never really formally introduced myself on this forum (lurked here and there) I thought it might be a good idea to give a bit of background info on the bike and share a few things I learned along the way. This may become boring for you.
After the crash I tried swapping out a stock bar for a clubman and found the stock seating position uncomfortable. I also understood that tall riders benefit from rearsets when running a low bar. I wanted dunstall rearsets and finally found a set, slapped them on, along with the clubman bar, while looking around once in a while for dunstall clip-ons.
There were two minor fitment issues with the dunstall rearsets. The first was that the kick-starter wouldn't clear the rear-set. Turned out that the 77-78F model kick is longer than the K model, just (barely) long enough to clear the brake pedal so I got one.
The second issue was the shifter assembly clearing the stock pipes. Luckily a small spacer and longer bolt seemed to work for a while. Eventually the (copper I think) bushing got torn up, and the whole assembly slants a bit, one of my newer projects. When I added the spacer and longer bolt the two sides actually became more symmetrical with regard to distance from the frame and clearance of the pipes
