The EBC Pro Lite brake rotor disc came from Bike Bandit .com
Bolts right on no modifications.

More progress today.
Oil tank breather return hose.
Rear wheel rubber cushions.
It need new ones the old ones were hard as a rock.
The heat in the brake drum gets the rubber hot.
Also set the battery box in and mounted the fuse box.

excellent build mate!!, love it, looking forward to the real world on the shocks also. Just a question, y have you got the coil wires going towards the tank, i would have thought it would have been easier to go down and through the frame rails?. inquiring minds=)

Very sharp cben750f1!

That is why I have not cut the plug wires to length yet.
I cannot remember if i tried them the other way and it did not work. So I will have to go back and play around with them again and see what will work best.

I just went and ordered one of the EBC rotors from Bike Bandit based on the pics in your build.
Mine was shot so I hope this, new pads and a piston rebuild helps things up front a bit!

Btw, those rotors are on "Blow out" so they may not have them forever if anyone else is interested.

Eleven more large photos.
This is what is going on.
I got the coil rear clamp installed OEM style clamp.
The EBC pro-Lite front brake rotor did not fit my 1978. I was refunded.
The rivets were just touching the caliper.
The other forum member that bought the same front rotor should be ok because he did not have a 1978 model.
The OEM new horn got mounted with new bolts. 5 minutes of bliss.
Rick's motorsports rectifier/regulator combo.
The right switch housing is going to be a problem with my 1975 wiring scheme
so I am trying to get a 1975 switch.
I went to put brake fluid in and bleed the brakes and my rebuilt master cylinder will not work. After taking it apart and checking everything i found out that i was sold a rebuild kit for earlier model CB750's which are NOT the same.
Waiting to get the proper 1978 rebuild kit.
New OEM tach cable installed.
The engine was rebuilt by Cycle Exchange.
Turn signals are needed to complete the wiring in the front.
And now the photos. 6 more photos will have to wait until tomorrow.

I adapted a later right hand switch onto my '76K by chopping off the molex connector and attaching bullet connectors at the end.

The 1978 switch is very different than the earlier switches.
Its all about the internal wiring and switches inside the housing.
It also involves the way the clutch switch is wired.

I have been looking for a 1975 switch and have not found one but today I found a switch at a motorcycle salvage yard(Bryce Rocket Cycles) and I am going to use it.
I had to make some repairs to it because it had some melted wires inside.
I do not know what the switch came from.
It does not match any CB750 diagrams but what I like about it is that it is simple.
Light switch separate from the starter button and no kill switch.
Real simple.
Now it is back together and sorted as the brits say.

I was having trouble getting the Master cylinder to bleed and I found out one of the two holes in the resevoir were clogged. I had to drill out the small hole and re clean it.
Now it works perfect.

I took the bike off of the jack today.
It is the first time I have seen the bike sitting on the ground.
Now I can put the exhausts on and the side stand.

No go. That was upsetting because it would have given me 18% better braking according to the literature.

I am going to switch to a stainless brake line for a more positive feel.

I finished the exhaust with baffle and mounting brackets.
I was hours of work to make it all look simple.

I also installed the velocity stacks which I did not make.
They were machined by Mike at...Steel Dragon Performance Deer River MN.,.
