Employers have the upper hand for now and will for some time, engineers with masters degrees are a dime a dozen right now- and they want 5-10 years experience and have your PE minimum.
Take what you can get, don't take anything for granted in these times, from the sounds of it you have plenty of book learning and zero job experience- take what you can get right now.
I have the better part of 3 years experience in different fields, focusing on solid state joining and failure testing.
And just so everyone knows, I didn't ask for a lecture on what I SHOULD be doing, I wanted help from people that knew about potential opening or contacts. My "best bet" is to find a position in which I'll make a difference, both in my life, the company and most importantly, the world. I've already settled for my last 2 jobs and i was almost miserable with them.
The job market may be hard, but i know of people that are getting jobs with good companiesf for what they want pay wise. So please, if you can help me, I would appreciate that!
I do appreciate the words from others, but this isn't why I started the thread.
