Seriously? When I was at "The Shop" in Milwaukee, they told me that it is from a BMW and that they go for several hundo the shape its in.. I have no clue though if that is the truth but they told me to sign up on the BMW site and I did but the site wouldnt let me post it....

Someone recently posted pics of a Don Vesco fairin on their 750, it looked great. Ive never liked the Vetter ones, if I ever happen to come across a Don Vesco I'm going to snap it up quick fast!

Accessories are included. Keep in mind they are 62 years old now and have "weathered" a bit. Still want them?

Yeah, that is the one I ressurrected this thread about...$1100 shipped. It is pretty nice.
I don't think Matt bid on the other one...
on the $350 one...
with all the primer and fresh paint on the brackets you don't know if it was wrecked and rebuilt or what.

Nice Goldwing and digging the Rabid Transit fairing on it. That is a faired Gold Wing I wouldn't mind owning.
I generally prefer the naked Wings but their prices have really gone up since 05.

Yeah, i too prefer naked bikes, especially those that weren't designed with a fairing. The BMW R100RS is gorgeous. I think that the Vesco looks similar to the RS fairing in some ways.

When I started REALLY riding these bikes long distances i found that the wind / elements were beating me up. The fairing makes the bike a much more functional touring machine.

Yeah when touring or cruising on a trip more than an hour the wind can fatigue you at highway or interstate speeds. Winter riding in cooler weather it is nicer as well.
Do you have any photos of the brackets and mounts for the fairing?
Are you running an HID lamp?
I like my CX500 plastic maggot mini fairing as it has the headlamp directed where I am headed. With many fairing they are frame mounted and point straight ahead, I prefer the hotspot of the lamp where I will be...

Just using the standard headlamp. I try not to ride much after dark. I usually camp when i tour and i like to set up camp in the light whenever possible. Also lots of deer around here.

I don't have any pictures, but the Vesco uses a standard Vetter fairing mount. I took the GL on a 4000 some mile trip last summer and was going 80 mph plus all day over the plains out to the mountains. Nice clean air coming off it. They say the Vesco increases fuel economy.

I just rode it around Lake Superior as well with lows in the 30's and highs in the low 50's.

Nice fairing. I can have the bike back to stock in around an hour.
