Clutch normal?
« on: August 29, 2011, 12:16:21 AM »
I've been reading up on clutch characteristics as the clutch on my K7 feels weak. I've adjusted it correctly (just enough play to get neutral at one end and for a satisfying tug from the motor as the clutch engages at the other end of lever travel) but it's nowhere near as firm or as early a grab as my DR650 - also a cable clutch.

Is this normal for the CB750K? In order for me to get neutral I have it adjusted so it only fully engages in the last few mm of lever travel. Even though it is engaging strongly at that point, and there is no slippage except when riding particularly vigorously with a pillion, I wonder if I should pull it down and fit stronger springs. The bike's done 73000km; I don't have any maintenance history from the PO.
