Topic: Fork Oil Capacity of 1977 CB750F2

I read about a hundred post after doing a search....no luck find the fork oil capacity for my 1977 CB750F2. Anybody have that information they could share? The forks are rebuilt with new seals and dust caps..even new paint on the lower legs. If that makes any difference.

Try the service manual chapter 11. I think it 7-7.3 oz it will depend on how you want it to handle as to what weight to use. Look at the supplement for 77 they may have made a change if so it will be there.

Thanks for your help gentlemen. I used the F specific information and installed 155cc approx 5.2oz of oil in each fork. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.

Note of interest: I purchased a set of new dust boots for the forks. The boots are too loose to stay in place as the fork moves. I saved the old boots in case the silicone adhesive I glue them with doesn't work out.

Double check that you have the correct boots. The 77'-78' 750F model dust boots actually fit down inside the top of the fork, while the 76' 750F and 77'-78' 750K model (and possibly others) dust boots fit OVER the top of the fork lower.

Yeah I got the right ones. They just don't fit well and the rubber is too soft.
