Bridgestone Deathwing?
« on: October 06, 2011, 07:40:04 PM »
Anyone have a set of these on their 'matics or manual cbs? Are they really that dangerous. I mostly use the bike for local commuting and riding across my lawn is the extend of my off-roading, but once or twice a year I might make a 400 mile trip up north if the weather is clear enough. I'd just like have my bike wearing something I could, if the need arises, be able to ride in the rain safely AND look damn good doing it. I think the trailwings are really the only tires that'll fit my bike, be able to run at highway speeds AND give it that mean, scrambler look. Am I asking for a one way ticket to the dirt nap hotel? Also I do like the specs and reviews of the Anakees but I think they would look GOD AWFUL looking on my bike.

I looked at images of anakees and bridgestones.  Why do you want your hondamatic to look like an off-road bike?  Anything that says michelin on it would be a good choice for my bike.
intrigued by the wail...seduced by the scream.

I had some of the same concerns, theres a lot of gravel roads
down here in the delta(ms) and as I enjoy doing a lil exploring
I put some shinko 705's on mine. Just gettin this bike goin
after it sat for 20+ years so i dont have any experience yet
to offer regarding dualsport tires on these bikes.
I got the shinko's (set)for $115 delivered, so if it doesnt work out.....no biggie.

I recently put Bridgestone Accolades on the front and Bridgestone Batt Lax's on the rear.  Have put a few hundred miles on them and the bike handles well and the tires have held up great...
