Float Needle Question...K3

Regarding the CB750K3...just how important is it that the spring loaded nipple on the float needle be working vs stuck? The spring nipple on the other 3 is fine, but this one does not move. It is stuck all the way out.

You might try soaking it in something slick. If it won't come unstuck I'd replace it.

Had it soaking in Gunk carb cleaner for 3 hours. No change probably because the cleaner could not get into the spring area. Just forced some spray carb cleaner in there hoping it works.

I was able to free up a stuck pin with a heat gun. It needs to be free in order to maintain proper float height...Larry

Heat gun...will give it a try. I want to save it since there is only 5,310 miles on this bike. The seat and needle are very good on contact areas. Thanks for the tip.
