Heidenau Tires - any experience?
« on: November 02, 2011, 02:10:27 am »
Just saw an ad for these and checked out their website. They seem to offer a nice variety of smaller, vintage looking scooter and motorcycle tires.
Any experience?

I have them on my Vespa 250GTS.

They are the BEST tires I have put on them, going through a set of Michelin Sports and City's and a set of Conti's.

No headwobble, does not excessively track on textured roadways.

That said, the Dunlop Aero's I have on the CB550 right now impress me.

If I can get the Heidenau's, I probably will because of how authentic they look and I know the rubber is good.

If not, I will go with the Dunlops.

I recently fitted one to the rear of my little BMW after being very pleased with the original Heidenau's. :)

I'm also considering scrapping off the nearly new Cheng Shin tyres on the Honda CB400/4 this winter and changing to Heidenau's.

If you don't mind, which ones did you go with and what did it run for the set?

I was looking at the K33 for the front and the K36 for the back.

Thanks for all of the input! I may try a pair for my 350F since the options for this bike are becoming increasingly limited.
