I had never wrapped a pipe before. So the first time i did i took it out for a ride, right after i wrapped it. It was embarrassing being at stop lights and the bike looking like it was on fire.

went up to an old shop in muncie to look for a rear wheel. ended up getting one as well as a speedo off a xr70 and neat lucas reflector that i turned it a brake light. also, a friend of mine wanted us to put some bikes in his gallery. we set up up like a "work space" with tools, parts, manuals and what not. people seemed stoked on it.

Nice! a club of small bikes. I cant get my friends to ride, despite the fact i have enough bikes for them all. Their wives say no. I need to get some new friends. There is also very few people in this city of a half million who are into this sort of stuff. Lowriders and graffiti is more popular.

finally got to take it for a first ride! figuring out the rear wheel slowed me down for a few weeks. ended up with a cl125 rear wheel, which takes a different size brake pad than the cb100. it kicks over first try and runs good. the carb still needs some fine tuning. need to make the seat cushion and finish wiring the lights. after that i'll start thinking about paint...

Yeah! Really like this bike! I just picked up a CB125 with a real similar plan to yours. The little bikes are so much fun.

ok don't laugh. the bike has been running rough, like it's not getting gas. kept adjusting the carb and nothing. i'm running a pod filter instead of the airbox. i rigged this up and now it runs great. i'm going to try to rejet next, but it was fun to get a good rip on it.

The 6v bikes dont use a regulator just a rectifier. You can buy them here.

or you can make your own. Get a  rectifier with at least 50amps.

Something like this but you can look around and find them for a little cheaper. Like a buck.

Awesome, I will look into those rectifiers.  Thank you.  Do you have any ideas about the sealed battery?  I noticed you're in the middle of CA...central valley?

Fresno, there are all kinds of sealed batteries out there. Just get the right amp hour battery and our good to go. If you are feeling brave you could always try a battery eliminator capacitor system. I have not tried it yet.
