Honda newb
« on: November 08, 2011, 01:56:02 PM »
Just acquired my 1st Honda, a '72 CB500F   8)
A neighbor of mine had it in his garage for 20 years.
Unfortunately, must've been behind the dryer, chrome is pitted.  :'(

He stopped riding it when he caught a peg in a corner.
Headlight shell broken, ears managled and such.
A 'friend' of his said he could change the tires...
they got the rear tire off and quit cause he ran out of beer.
the PO hadn't a clue to go any further.
When I got it, he thought the tires were tubeless.   ::)

Been riding for the last 6 or so years a '88 suzuki savage, big a$$ single.
Now I'm going back in time to a '72.

Looks like a pretty solid start for the old Honda. The old Honda will be a much different ride when you get it done. Welcome to the insanity  :o
