Carb inlet tee o-rings, CB750
« on: November 12, 2011, 04:59:08 PM »
Hi!
I've searched past threads for a suppplier of these and the threads are fairly old, I wonder if anyone has found a supplier of these at a reasonable price? They are 7.8 x 1.9 mm I believe and have been referred to as P-8 size JIS standard o-rings. Yamiya has these but a package of 10 will be about $30 shipped as a last resort.
I've called my local Honda shop, they are dicontinued at a price of $22 each, must be including the T.
I'll call around to the local equipement shops on Monday. I was hoping for a quick point me in the right direction.
Thanks, Cliff.

I went to my favorite hardware store and showed them both the old O ring and the Tee. I was asked if they were metric and they had them in stock. 73ยข ea and I thought that was way too much. I bought 10 of them and re-assembled the carbs (657b). They seemed to fit fine though I will not run the bike untill spring.

I just found a big O-ring store in Toronto, they had the right size. Dirt cheap. They installed perfectly and I rode the bike all summer. It'll be easy since your in Canada. ABLE O RINGS 5511 STEELES AVE W. NORTH YORK (416)-741-0750.

Thanks for that! A friend has suggested 8 x 2 mm which is a more common size.

I should learn to ask around my buds here before I trouble you guys. Got them at an industrial hose and fittings company at 15 cents each. Hondaman makes reference to these as 8x2 in his book so they should work.

I get them at lowes.  Not sure of the size, one that fits. The gas makes it swell and seal better.

These are still available from Honda as part of the carb gasket set.
