Fitting a CL77/SL350 steering damper to a CB750 early K?
« on: November 13, 2011, 03:53:27 AM »

I managed to pick up a CB77/SL350 steering damper a while ago, and with the major work on the CB750 K2 completed, I'm starting to wonder whether I can fit one to the other.   I'm finding the steering on the 750 a bit light for my tastes and it'd be great if I could keep the period look with a period damper.

The 750 has a hole for a damper mount on the right side of the lower yoke, but the horn is smack bang in the wrong place on the frame to enable any kind of obvious easy fix.

So, anyone done it?  Can it be done - without major modifications to the frame?  And if so, how (preferably with pictures . . . )?

Thanks all
