Front Rotor Nuts wont' Loosen CB350F
« on: December 01, 2011, 01:35:01 PM »
Two of my the nuts on the front rotor won't loosen. When I turn them the stud turns with them. Any suggestions on getting them loose?

Make sure the rotor is fully seated against the hub.  I don't think the studs should spin because their flanged "heads" sit in a groove on the backside of the rotor and keep them from spinning.  If they are spinning then I would think that is because the rotor is not bottomed against the hub.  Push it in towards the hub if it's got any wiggle in it and see if you can get the flanges of the studs seated in the groove, and then go after the nut.  At least that's my recollection of how my 400f is set up....

Mike,
I believe those are bolts that run all the way through the hub;if you remove the speedo box & the chrome cover you can get at the head of the bolts and loosen them up.
75' CB400F/'bunch o' parts' & 81' CB125S modded to a 'CB200S'
I love the small ones too !

Oh, HAH!  Disregard my post please--I was visualizing the rear sprocket, not the front rotor....
