60 ft times were low 2's,not real exciting. The converter can have allot more done to it ,Jim(JPT) didn't angle the fins . The laydown bike is a new old Denco Drag bike frame 41lbs! With the RC 1000cc kit and lighter bike should be a bunch quicker. I was actually asked not to show up everweek at one track as I won so often.

You're going to have fun preventing the launching of your laydown, writing from personal experience. I ended up with an aluminum aftermarket rim, small slick, with a really big rotor and aftermarket caliper tied to a line loc. Move the fins and you can about double your launch rpm with the right bottom end power. Don't go bigger on the cam; keep your bottom end "healthy". Good luck with the sale and the future efforts. (The next one better be in the 11's; add the 6mm stroke increase from an 80's 900F crank and you may find 10's.) ;)

I also got banned from my local track for 6 seasons, due to my two Hondamatics dominating the bike bracket class. It was their solution to my stock answer - Learn to bracket race better!

Hey Jon,we emailed a few times back about 10 or so years ago when I was first setting up the bike. I ran the gs carbs for a few years and could never get the jetting where I was happy with it. I was going to send you the carbs for the needle set up and lost your contact info. Glad to see your on here.  More info on the bike for those who asked . The bike has msd ignition w/a dyna pickup ,two step on the brake lever, adjustable low rpm chip. Total loss w/external starter ,ion battery pack ,converter was clearance on the fins only ,has cycle x twin 38mm carbs on it now. These work well but you can't leave wide open like with the cv's. 836 kit has maybe 30 passes on it, mega cycle cam (smallest one) The bottom end (and the bike for that matter) had 676 miles on it bought it at a garage sale from the original owner who only rode it around town the first couple years he owned it . That's all I think of right now

Dyna Jet stage 3 jet kit for your GS carbs. Use the kit's adjustable needles and the restrictors in the bell for the idle jets. Sam's build shows what tuning was done to his 836 motor  with the GS CV carbs (needle position and jet size). They're very similar except we've got down into the middle 12's with a 12.3 best to date. (115 mph best with current gearing)  I'd be happy to help whomever buys the bike with the carb/tuning setup. There's a lot left in that bike!
