Canadian CB750K1

After all these years a simple question comes to mind.  Is the CB750K1 originally sold in Canada considered a US type or General Export type?  I always thought they were US type but I could be wrong.

When looking at oem part numbers here are the known honda canada codes:

Thanks for the info.

What got me thinking of this is when DSS updated there web site.  When I type in CB750K1 the DSS site  asks me to select from: 1) CB750K1 FOUR 1970-71 USA or 2) CB750K1 FOUR 1971.  I want to ensure I am ordering for the correct model.  From what I can determine on the DSS site both parts list appear to be identical  ???

I can't see any reason except metric and emission laws, one would think up until about 77 they would just ship all the same to north america.

I'd keep this bumped on the first page, maybe someone who has been trough ordering and hit a snag one way or the other will reply.

The answer to this would depend on which type Honda supplied to their Canadian dealers. Since there are differences that separate the USA and General Export models, more information about your K1 is needed. 

What is your frame number?
 
Which speedometer is present, KPH or MPH?
 
Is there a riveted vin/data metal tag on the right side of the frame neck?
 
If not, is/was there a Honda name plate decal (see pic) on the frame neck?

1.  The frame number is CB750-1079416.  It is located on the left side of the neck (pic attached).
2.  The VIN plate is located on the right side of the neck (pic attached - sorry about the quality).
3.  The speedo is in mph.  Canada went metric after 1971.

Cranky, good pics! This shows that your K1 is a USA model as it does not have the basic features of the K1 General Export model. You were correct in thinking that your K1 was a USA model all along.

The K1 General Export model begins with frame number: CB750-1066902 and these bikes were equipped with a KPH speedometer. There was never a VIN tag or holes in the frame for the tag rivets, as the tag was replaced with a decal: HONDA MOTOR CO., LTD - Made In Japan (shown in reply #4) Notice how your frame serial number is higher than the General Export type and retains the USA model features. This would suggest that the Canadian market did not receive the K1 General Export model when you purchased your bike new.
