Author Topic: Sorcerer and Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe to be restored (Read 452586 times)

About to have some fun with nitro in the most serious and historical version of the SOHC genre.
Getting ready to restore some history and enjoy the new technology in the background...hope to have all three at the drags within the next year...Ok maybe two. The triple needs a chassis but the Sorcerer just needs some love....and a rod ...and a piston...and a few bearings. No worse than damage that I've done on that modified street bike only a whole lot more fun to ride I'm thinking.

Welcome aboard RC jr.. The Sorcerer and the A,T,&S.. are two bikes I would love to see run.... on my bucket list now..

Kudos to RC for holding top speed or time for so long, PLUS winning NHRA BEST ENGINEERED out of all the dragracing vehicles, not once but TWICE!!, good on the RC crew...

Welcome Mr. RC Jr. It's a privilege to have you here on SOHC4.NET . Your father is a true trailblazer in the motorcycle world. I myself had the privilege and honor to meet your father in person at his shop. I called the shop to see if they had some Kawi cams that i wanted. One of his employee's said they had them. I drove out there to find that they only had one of the cams. Your father then came out and took me into the shop and looked for himself and then handed me two bigger cams and said " Sorry for the trouble, these are on the house " ! I offered to pay him but he refused. I'll never forget that day as long as i live.

I thought your dad told me the Sorcerer had a broken crank in one of the motors. If you need another one, this is the place to find one.

Let me know if there is anything we can do to help get these things on the track.

Kicked a rod out, crank is fine...whew...cuz that is a piece of work....especially the rear crank. I'll be looking for a piston sponsor...want to do all 8 with a slightly upgraded version that will handle the boost.

The response has been overwhelming and in less than 24 hrs there are already some parts airborne..on the house..all new ignition just like the original sprint mag II...belts, pulleys, gears, bearings...all covered..again on the house. I'm going to have a hell of a lot of people to thank and I'd like to start right now with all of you above for the encouragement.

This is a hell of a responsibility and it has to be done right. They will be ridden and they are museum pieces.
