Just ordered the club patch for my leathers.

And yes...I have no plans of replicating my fathers heroics...completely fearless..me just a little.

I have been in the 7's and been over 210mph in the mile..but all very safe stuff...IMO.

I certainly am ...money and parts. I have to tell you all...I think trip to the UK will have to be arranged. I have been there on business, London and Galway and loved it.

At least the following people will be part of MC history:

Mr's Green, Hastings, Benton, Dison, Debow, French, Oldfield, Nold & Griffin will own the front end on the Atchison Topeka and The Santa Fe. Mr green will probably own the back half as well and Mick will make sure I get this wowed down after that 100 foot up, burn out.

I hope I have not left anyone out and I have emailed all of you.

One of my Sorcerer fab sponsors came by yesterday and was torn between the 2 bikes...I let him know, thanks to the people on this site that we will have duel roll out of both bikes.

Just for starters..I have a pretty cool 11 x 17 poster of the professional garage shot, shown above. They are heavy stock, high quality prints. I will send one to each of you should you choose to email your mailing address to me. I can have them autographed by RC Sr if you would like and with any wording you'd like added.

Anyone down on there luck or ill here is welcome to a poster as long as I can print them at the discretion of anyone throwing in.

A very grateful, Russ Collins Jr.

OBTW ...I'm updating this as members join in..Mr. Nold and Mr. Gage has joined in....this keeps going and we'll have that rim as well.

I am having the posters made up special, sent to my Dad to await instruction and then they will be mailed directly from RC Engineering...good thing my brother does this for a living.

Mr. Hastings has joined the elite "Restoration Sponsor" list.

These posters will only be printed for these individuals and they will clearly be identified as Restoration Sponsors. Of course there will be other posters made up...but these are "Limited Edition" and will be closed to new prints after the bike is fired.

I will be using at least one used..so why not two...they are $200. I'll rebuild it if you send it...no problem.

That will buy the rim and have it anodized....I hope.

I have to continue to look into the hub and rotor situation....thanks to your research..I have an idea where to go.

Thanks,

RCjr.

All i can say is your father is my hero !!  One bad a$$ man !!   It's amazing that the dragster landed on the tires backwards !   Man those were the days at Pomona.  Not to far from my house !

If car crashes bother you DO NOT WATCH THIS VIDEO !!    :o

1991 NHRA Winternationals; Part 1 (Russ Collins Crash)

Incredible, :o :o
Bad azz? Hero?  yeah, that and fackin' superman!  :) 8)

And he still crossed the line first.

And qualified..the fastest Chevy in the world. I think he crossed the line at better than 280 and the rear tires were only making contact with the pavement for about 200 ft..if that...now that is flying!

He did go on to beat the Snake at Sonoma the very next race. The car was never designed to win races ..just showcase BME rods/ pistons in an Arias motor which is not the Hemi everyone else runs. The logic was, if you could qual a BB Chevy in that field , he had some pretty good parts.

A piece of the body panel flew into the stands and hit someone in the head...1 hr later, the bandaged up spectator came over to the BME pit and asked to see my Dad...we all took a deep breath......and out came a Sharpie and request for an autograph.....lol

Now that is a true fan !   ;)   I see that there's a bidding war going on for the Ceriani front end. I really hope you score that setup.    :D   Oh,  RCjr,  when should we contact you about the poster's being signed ?  I guess we should just wait until you receive them huh ?  LOL !   Just a little excited.   :o  ;D

Ok, if you're 39 you will be OK with a large I guess.

Sam ;)
     39 !!  Sheesh,  i'M 52"  In the chest !    :o       All muscle of coarse !    ;)    ::)
Who's gonna make the shirts ?   Where ?   Fruit of the loomy brand ?   Just concerned about covering the shed that hides my tool.    ;D
Sam, I'm wondering about the shirt sizes.  Who's taking care of that?  Just wanted to know what brand of shirt that is going to be used so we can calcalate shrinkage.  Also is there gonna be extra shirts for sale too ?    ???

I looked at the Airheart parts pricing, sorta steep.....maybe someone on here has a rebuild kit or a good piston.. I will give you the caliper if you can get the rest of it..

Unless you want to uprade to better calipers like Brmbo or the small PM ones...

Mick, I was meaning, do we all have to have the same colour (black OR white) or can we all have whatever colour we want.

In respect of donating parts, It's the person that donates, not the buyer that gets the membership.

Mick, I thought you were on about parts for auction but it should still stand.
It would depend on what the part is worth as to which list you would go on, have a word with Russ.
