Was looking for a bike after being out of riding for 10 or so years. After doing some research, I decided on a 550 for the looks, size, and ability to wrench on it myself. At that point I had been lurking for a bit, so I took the plunge and joined the forum assuming I'd have an SOHC eventually and figured I may as well read up on them and start learning about them. Got my bike this past summer - 1976 CB550K. So forum first, bike second. Even w/o a bike, though, the forum is a great place; people were extremely helpful in guiding my search, I was continually picking up bits of knowledge for future use, not to mention the fun of watching oil thread fireworks go up every so often
. While I don't post much, I peruse often and feel like part of a community in which being a member is worthwhile. At some point, once I have some time w/the bike under my belt, I hope to contribute to the forum to keep the cycle going (pun intended). Best wishes and safe riding for the New Year! Cheers, Gman
