Been reading HM's book and got to part where you split the cases. Very important to not loose the Main Oil Journal Dowel and O-ring!
1st: Would I be a complete idiot to split the cases to replace this O-ring? Ive replaced the O-rings in the oil pump, which weren't terrible, but thinking that this Main O-ring is 40 years old.
2nd: How can you tell if this O-ring needs replacement, drop in pressure?
