Vietnam Seats
« on: February 09, 2012, 10:03:57 AM »
Anyone had any luck with this type of seat http://www.ebay.com/itm/400146720051?item=400146720051&viewitem=&vxp=mtr  I was wondering what is involved in the installation, and was curious if anyone had any pics of a seat like this installed.  I love the idea of using the factory seat pan, and the price on this is keeping it as the forerunner for seat replacement on my 73 CB500 project.  Any thoughts/ideas are welcomed.

The problems I see are,  If it is NOT as described and you have to fight back and forth for a refund. Most times in that situation the Oversees company wins because they know us in the USA aren't going to be knocking on their door to make things RIGHT!!!

I have a seat and foam kit from them.  Worth the money to me for what I got.  What Chuck is saying is correct.  We had a member here that lost out on the deal because it went over the 45 days and I think the seller stopped responding to him.  I have read the the pans are not very good.  Do a search from the home page for Vietnam seats and you will find a few threads.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

For about $20 more and a little bit of work you can get an upholstered DCC seat (reputable company in the US). Not sure if you WANT to go that route, but I'm just throwing some options out there.

As a relatively new company on eBay, our feedback rating does not do justice.

I've been redoing bikes for some years and have learned this thru trial and error. >:( Buy HONDA and don't look back. The money you save on knock off parts is just not worth the headaches Grasshopper!  ;)
