What head is this?.
« on: February 12, 2012, 10:07:52 AM »
I just picked this head up off feebay. It is painted black on the top but seems like it is a spraybomb application not a supersport head. I do not have the old head here at the moment to compare it to. I need a replacement head for my 74 750 Can anyone tell me if this will work. Are the supersport heads different? The tunnel for the cam chain looks different from the other one at first glance. thanx

Try and also take some pictures of the outside, especially the sides so the guys can tell the shape of the bars between the fins etc and also see if you can spot any numbers stamped on it.

Looks later than that Frank seeing what little I do see. The chamber and the half circles on the deck look like 77 or 78 K

I was looking at the top fin which is the same on later ones..now I see the semi-circles, plus it has studs. Look on the top back fin between 3 &2cintake for a number or logo.
