CB500 Shaft Seal Part Number - Confirmation
« on: February 24, 2012, 03:47:53 PM »
My mechanic is tracking down a leak. From the outside, fluid comes out around the base of the shifter. He suggested the easiest thing to do is replace the following shaft seals: shift, clutch, counter/output. Note: I've already replaced my oil pressure sending unit as that was related to a leak as well.

I found the info below from Dave500 on a post regarding a similar issue. Are these the part numbers I need to order based on mechanic's suggestion? Simple order from dealer, still available?

yep i just rechecked them, they are what you need to do all the seals on the left side, apart from the oil pump if it isnt leaking, youll need 2 times 13.6mm x 2.4mm and one times 47mm x 3.2mm o rings,i get them from a bearing supply shop,,they have a $5 minimum so i end up with two sets of them.
