New to the area
« on: March 02, 2012, 01:27:22 PM »
Hey team central. I'm moving into St. Louis and am wondering who's in the area. I'm a new rider/wrencher but always willing to learn. Got a '74 CB750 that runs a little rough and at the moment has no brakes (working on that). More than likely could use some tuning. Anyway...just wanted to say hey and see what's up in the St. Louis area.   ;D

good to hear from you, there were a couple ST Louis guys posting here last year, they couldn't make the tour but maybe someone will chime in soon. The tour route goes your way this year, amybe you guys can put together a ride. There is a fun road going to Jefferson city. Lots of steep hills and twisties, north side of a river.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

Hey Newton.  I'm near St. Louis.

I got my '78 last August after a few years gap between bikes.  So, I'm trying to figure out what is going on (bikewise anyway) in St. Louis too.  I need a regular breakfast/coffee destination.

If you want someone to stand around while you work on the bike, give me a shout.  I'm always happy to give poor mechanical advice and quietly slip away when things break.

heya spaceman...thanks for the offer of poor mechanical advice. I'll let you know  ???  haha! I just found out that I'm going to have to find some storage facility for it, unless I want to pay for two parking spaces. I guess that's what I get for living downtown. At some point I'd be down for meeting up or something...hopefully I get everything squared away soon.  ;D
