HEY I finally got a new topic! I think.
« on: May 08, 2005, 08:28:15 AM »
I had to replace the exhaust on my 78 750k. Well since honda choose to equip our bikes with fairly small diameter headers, unless you replace the whole system, it is virtually impossible it seems to find a muffler with the same opening size.

So to get to my question :)  I had to get connectors for the pipes and one side is tight as can be, but the other side is loose. I want to weld the pipes but to keep them in the proper position, I need to spot weld them on the bike. I will disconnect the battery but should I worry about anything else? I would not think so. You connect the negative clamp to the pipe and the only spot where electricity flows is between the clamp and the welding rod. Everything should be ok but I was just wondering if anyone else has had this experience.

If your worried unplug your diode, reg and rectifier.  Always disconnect the battery esp if welding dc.
These wonderful little birds are great flyers, delicious eating, excellent for training your hunting dog, and just fun to shoot,or stuff and keep around the house.  Bobwhites can be put with other types of Quail and have very large penis's.  Quail are very popular with the babes.

ARC welding will just burn holes in your thin walled mild steel pipes, but MIG, TIG or Oxy (torch) welding will be fine. Also, you'll need to grind any chrome off your headers or the weld won't stick. Cheers, Terry.  8)
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
