Topic: Diablo III Release date A.K.A I've reverted to a high school nerd

Ok, I realize this is not the audience for this but I just don't care.  when I was in high school I had 2 sets of friends.  the guys I would go mudding with and fightin and drinkin with at field parties and then the ones I would nerd out and play video games with.  we would spend whole weekends in the basement eating toco bell and playing video games.

When Diablo II came out it was amazing!  Everyone loved it and we played it for years.   Then people started waiting for the sequel.. and waiting and waiting and waiting...  We all would talk about how cool of a computer we would build when it came out and how we would ditch school to play it, stupid high school stuff.   

Well, I have graduated from college since Diablo III started development.  So when I heard that the release date had been set and I was going to be picking up my collectors edition I think I said holy sh*t in the middle of the office.

I have instantly reverted right back to a 15 year old geek in the basement!!! I will now start building my super computer and of course I will be out of the office for a few days.  Sometimes being an adult is awesome.

Just got my 8 year old son playing Diablo. Now he wants my Hellfire expansion pack.
He wont get it until he finishes....

I think I still have that somewhere.  I mostly only play Halo now.  My boy is hooked on Halo now and he is better than me.   I have picked up the controller a few times again for NFSU2.  I like that the best out of the NFS series.

well as a present day WoW player, and i Diablo player from the begining, i wish they would bloody hurry up and release the DIII lol

I too have been waiting a loooong time for DIII.    I spent many hours killing the denziens of hell in Diablo (middle school) and Diablo II (college).  I can't wait to start again!  I think you can pre-oder through battle.net.

ps - cben750f0 - I am an ex-wow player, get out while you can  .  That game sucked more hours of my life than any other.....and I enjoyed every minute,  but after 6 years the game got a little stale.  I can't wait until they come out with something new!

Ha, I remember Diablo I in school, let a few friends borrow it so they could waste a few hours.
Never played II but since I don't play any PC stuff now I probably won't play III either.
Arkham City must be cleaned up by the Batman before I can do anything else videogame-wise.
