Polished my tail light lens.
« on: March 24, 2012, 05:27:54 PM »
I know it's a Suzi lens but it lives on my 550.
I removed all lettering with some wet&dry then used a buff to polish.

After

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

Just this sort of thing.

I went from the roughest wheel and soap through to the finest. You need to watch how much pressure you use as you can melt the plastic.

Yeah I've tried polishing plastic and just ended up melting it. And then it IS ruined. Nice job.

You can polish faded plastic using metal polish ("Brasso" is good) and a soft cloth, it's really good on tail light lenses and indicator lenses etc. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
