he doesnt even mention a clear title...
In Australia you don't need a title to register a bike ;)

Just as well too as i have 3 untitled bikes in my garage at present.... ;D ;)

So, just what, exactly, is a "suit restoration"? Is he doing tailoring on the side?

It doesn't say "a suit restoration" It says "suit restoration" or Suitable for restoration, i thought that was obvious.... :o

Suit is used as a verb meaning, Be convenient for or acceptable to, in this case to restore....

Never heard of it... Must be some Aussie thing...  ;D

I did, however, once see a sign from a contractor who would "build to suite"...
"He slipped back down the alley with some roly-poly little bat-faced girl..."

it aint a ripoff till someone pays the asking price. by the end of this, he'll knock a zero off the price and someone will still have overpaid.

+1.  And being towed by a rope while the stuck wheels drag does NOT qualify as running...

With that being said, if someone really wanted a project, and had the cash, more power to 'em.  My first bike looked worse, but I got it for free.

Ooooher, while we're dragging out the archived memories, here's my contribution-

As bought at the Bendigo Swap Meet for 200 bucks in 1995:

All finished, almost 4000 bucks poorer, and swapped for a new thread cutting lathe, May 1996:
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

Now is when you make a counter offer for $ 500.00 (or less).

That's how my bikes grow, coffee and lagers!

I guess some people see the Honda craze and think they can REALLY cash in.  If that's worth $2000.00 I'm sitting on $50,000 in motorcycles.
