Where in Georgia?  And when?

Not EXACTLY sure, on the date. It'll be shortly AFTER I get a few things taken care of and the main thing will be to get a Nice Assisted Living Retirement Home for my Dad, that is near where my Fiancee lives. Could actually be before the end of the year though. I WILL keep you all posted.  ;)

Nice,
There are some nice roads to ride on down there I hope.

Paul

I've seen SOME Paul and SHE likes to ride too, so we WILL BE enjoying some "Road Time". ;)

Bill, your gonna have to meet up with us nw arkansas guys before ya go.

Sure will work on that, Guy. And My Daughter will still be in the area, so I will be up here, from time to time too.  ;)

Hartwell Georgia, is where I'll be going, near the SC border (Greenville)

North Georgia has some awesome riding and nice ride from Greenville, SC to Hendersonville, NC about an hour north.  Cool little town in the mountains with a Mast General Store and other interesting things to walk around and stretch your legs.  Plus you are not terribly far from the Blue Ridge Parkway which is hard to beat.

On the beachy side, you have the whole coast and many islands.  Long way to South Georgia, but the Okeefenokee Swamp is a pretty cool destination.  I motorcycle camped there last spring and loved it.

Welcome to the great state of Georgia!

That sounds Good! My Actual moving date depends on how soon I can get things lined out here and get moved (will take SOME time) Probably be at least sometime next year, before we will be riding though. Got SO MUCH to do and take care of. Hopefully be able to meet up with You and whoever else might be in the area too.  ;)

Pretty cool! I'm not sure how far away that is, from Hartwell. I'm still learning about Georgia, I've been to Ft. Stewart a few times and gone through, to Florida once, but that's it. And Yes, I still have the GTX and will be keeping it as long as humanly possible.  LOL! I just checked Mapquest and it says that you will be about 45 minutes away, Cool! 8) My initial situation will be kind of a pain, as She is renting where she is (paying on the down payment) and will be buying the place, when she gets the down payment taken care of. She won't let ME help with that either. But, until she gets the down payment taken care of and gets out from under the "Rental thing", any vehicles, on the premises, HAS TO have a current license plate on  there. I'll be taking my GTX, '85 Shelby Charger (maybe) and I also have 2 Dodge Dakotas and my Dad's '93 4wheel drive Dakota. Not going to be easy tagging ALL of those. Gonna have to get together with You all, once I get down there. When will you be moved in there in Toccoa?

Bill,
Like I said, if you need Anything as far as another driver or a back to lift with I'm available to help;also I have a CB350 and it's easy enough to pack into a moving van when the time comes ;).
I'm going down there on Faith..it's "done"for me here in the Lehigh Valley and I've had an interview for an Apt. down in Toccoa already and..well I'm going for it on the 14th of May.I'm on a limited income and will probably be moving in for real about the 3rd of June...or sooner  :) Lord willing.I'll drive the Volvo 240 down there w/ my CB350 behind me on a front wheel tow hitch(1st time for that :))Very carefully.I want to then save a little $ and then go get my 10'x15' storage locker moved w/ a One Way 15' rental truck w/ a ramp. It's an Adventure I'm looking forward to !

They used to have bumper stickers for years in VA.(I used to live there) saying "Virginia is for Lovers"..I don't see'em anymore...but I imagine they have better ones in GA. !  ;D ;) By that I mean Warm Loving Folks..smaller communities are Nice.

SC gets HOT in the summer - prepare yourself. Flip side no where near as cold as where you're coming from.  LOTS of good roads to ride on around there and your in between two major SE cities. Charlotte/Atlanta. Congrats.

Hi Fiddy,
I'm still a real newb when it comes to learning how to post pics to the forum;I purchased the item on Ebay and it's called a "Dandy Hauler".I think you can get a few good pics off of all the listings this guy has on Ebay.I've heard that(I haven't tested it yet)it needs to have the front wheel mounted Very securely to the tow bar hitch itself so it stays on tight..the directions recommend a ratchet tie-down strap, but I'll use 2 of them there. The directions also say that when you take corners the bike will lean a bit  :o so I'll be going Carefully & yes I'll disconnect my drive chain.
I apologize for getting into you're thread Bill...Fiddy PM me if you want to know a little more about it.

Hey listen, Bo Problem, about this. I have never had a problem with something like this, as folks never have gotten completely off course and this is not a problem at all. I have towed like that before, but mine was makeshift. BTW, Good luck with YOUR Move too Brother.  ;)
