It's only money!
« on: April 07, 2012, 04:40:39 AM »
A young guy at work who likes my KO and K6 said his Dad just bought a new 2012 HarleyDavidson  Screamin-Eagle Road Glide. Turn key out the door for just under $40 grand. Sounds like a deal to me :o :o :o I like Harleys, but come on ::) I thing I'll stick with my sohc4 CB750's ;D

Holy crap!!

You could add up ALL my toys - all the bikes, the motorhome, boat, etc. and still not have 1/4 that!!

...and I feel bad when the value of any bike in my garage exceeds a couple thousand.  I feel like I shouldn't have that much money tied up in any one toy, and I sell it off and start back at the $400 level.  :)

That is a lot of money to me. If I were to spend that much it would probably be on a Ducati....

Its not how much it costs that matter, its how  hard it is to pay it off...

Even the cheapest, best deal .. are sometimes still hard paid for...

Both my honda's together cost less than 3  $40,000 bike payments. The wife was fussing about the last bike I bought. I reminded her I could be into  those kinds of bikes. Not so much after all. And I could double my money on either of mine.

I'm thinking about an older GL.  You can get a really great used one for about 1800 bucks here.
