Unplugged wire

New bike, new problems.  1976 cb 750.  Under the left side cover there is a green wire that is not connected to anything. Any thoughts on what it is for?  Also in my headlight bucket there is a black w/red stripe wire that is cut and taped off so it is no longer connected.  Any ideas on what it goes to?

Bk/R is high beam switch and green is earth. The green wire may have been connected to the rectifier mount.

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

Solid black are typically 12v+ on these old Hondas.

Man, this post is timely.  I was just looking at the same unplugged green wire on my newly acquired bike yesterday trying to figure what it connected to.....   I was going to take an image and post the same question.

You're correct.  The US models came with 2-prong flashers and didn't use that ground wire, so it's just an extra.
