Survey: What face plates do you need?
« on: July 07, 2017, 12:11:52 PM »
As you probably know, I am market leader for the Honda CB750 face plates. I have sold 1,000s CB750 face plates and I have also added face plates of the CB350F, CB400F and CB500 K0/K1 to my online store, which are pretty popular.

My focus was on producing face plates that are pretty much popular, because to make the production profitable, I needed to produce a couple of 100 of each.

As I am always looking to improve the service for my customers: I now have the possibility to produce smaller numbers. I will start the production soon. The quality is equal, so according the highest standards. Printed on plastic plate, looking exactly the same as the originals.

In order to produce the right face plates, I will ask you to repsond to this topic and tell me what face plates you think I have to produce, if possible with pictures. What face plates do you need and are not available, or only available as low quality stickers. (your response is obviously non-binding)

I highly appreciate your responses!

Imho, you should expand into other makes. Like vintage Yamaha for instance.
Afaik there are only decals available for the 70's XS bikes.
I had to buy a used a set of gauges just for the faces for my recent XS650 restore.
Do you have a copy of the Honda Shop Manual or Parts List for your bike? Get one here:

I'd sure like something in the original bright green for my '76 CB550F.  I bought a set of the sort of decals mentioned and they didn't fit (and weren't so great for line quality), so I'm not using them.  I understand there are 3-4 different versions (at least according to the seller), but I've got four sets of gauges and they all seem to be the same except for an earlier set that has the blueish colored face.

Would you please post some pics here?

I just remembered this morning that I bought a beat up speedo with under 2k miles that has perfect internals I'm planning to use.  I could use a new tach with the redline between 9,300 and 10,300 rpm, but the green face is good and a woman that does RC airplane graphics that my brother buys from say she can do the redline part for $7.  I'd rather have a whole new tach face, but $7 is a pretty good deal if her work is good.

Do you still want photos?  Doesn't seem like a ton of interest following my initial post, but I'm game to help the community.
