rear sprocket popping noise
« on: July 08, 2012, 10:24:03 AM »
Hey all, just a quick question. After my ride the other day I noticed a snapping and popping noise coming from the chain at the rear sprocket. Maybe the chain is too tight? Maybe needs replacing? I'm assuming its too tight and just popping in the sprocket teeth. Thanks guys!

I can't tell if you are describing the chain hitting the chain guard, or actual sprocket binding.

Do check all the the rollers are still in the chain.  And, that the tension doesn't get too tight when the suspension is depressed.
