Hello what is the easiest way to replace the head gasket on a cb550 mine is leaking somewhat when I am at high speeds and it looks like it is going to be a long job

I've been told to hold off on my head leak, and if yours is truly "somewhat leaking", I'd advise you to do the same. Believe me, I want my bike leak free, but pulling the head will lead to other fixes and other maintenance that really should be completed when you get that far into the engine.

The solution that some will use is nylon rope or paper towels rolled into the fins so that oil is soaked into those bits instead of your pants or boots. How bad is the leak really??
