Hello from Ogden, Utah
« on: June 27, 2012, 10:40:59 PM »

So this is my 1974 550-four Black Bomber.  My very dear friend Robert Willard acquired this motorcycle from "Larry the Lawyer" and I believe Mike Joyce built it.  We have rebuilt the fork and I'm going to pick up the new springs from Spring Works in the morning.  New rear tire and battery.  I'm very excited to ride this sweet heart to work a couple times a week.  My commute is 26 miles each way so that should be a lot of fun.  I'm a 34 year old dad that loves bikes, motorcycles, old cars, and just about everything in between.  I hope to find a lot of help getting here and I look forward to getting to know a few of you.

Welcome from the Smoky Mountains, NC. My first ride was my dad's '65 Black Bomber. I would love one myself but getting hard to find. I did pick up a '70 model recently (my 2nd bike!).

Welcome to the forum.  Too bad you didn't get on here a little earlier.  You just missed the relay that went right by you on June 2.  We could have used you.

That would have been great to see you.  I own a restaurant up in the mountains above Salt Lake and we get a lot of bikers in there.  A local group call the Beehive Beemers are coming up in a couple of weeks.  Those guys are great.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to post a picture of my motorcycle on this forum.

These pictures are about two months old.  The bike has since been worked on quite a bit.  New rear tire, battery, rebuilt fork, fresh paint, and polished everything.  I'll post new pictures soon.
