Lester Wheels
« on: July 03, 2012, 11:30:52 AM »
I've been looking for a set of Lester Wheels for for my CB750. That being said are there any stamps or distinguishing marks to look for on the rims them selves to be able to tell they are for a CB, or any other bike?

Nice find Don. I can never get that lucky. There is a set on eBay for 1200.00. It's not likme I would go out and spend that much dough, but if I were to do that I would wanna know for sure that they would fit my 72 750.

Dang, I got the whole bike for $650. I feel good about it because the guy thought he screwed me over. As he took the money and as he turned away he had a smirk on his face, I saw it. He said the bike ran when it was parked. It clearly did not.  When it is finished I'm sending him a picture of it. nana nana na na.

Yes, it was in a nearby town and closely resembled a bike owned by a friend there. I was worried it might be a scam because his was not for sale and what were the odds of two Blue green K0's with lesters in a town under a hundred people. Turns out it was a clone built years ago by a guy that liked my friends bike. Everyone around thought it left town years ago but his brother was storing it for him.

You are one lucky guy if I do say so myself. Lesters! I'm not sure if the EBay set sold, but for 1200 bucks, I just couldn't do it.

It was meant to happen. The guy that owned the original bike has a shop there. His wife is the parts lady, she was the one that told me about Lester mags. Who would have thought I'd find the clone of their bike and buy it?

Thanks Don. I haven't had too much phone/computer time this week. Work has been keeping me busy.
