Well after cleaning off the points and adjusting the gap I got spark. Hooked up a temporary gas tank. Had gas blowing out the overflows initially. I did rebuild the carbs with new float valves and everything. They are the metal tipped ones, do you think they didn't seat right or what? I don't have the right jets in anyways so they'll be coming off again.

Then another carb problem I got gas actually squirting straight out in a stream from the intakes on  2 of the carbs after a little while. What the heck? I did hook up the overflow tubes at that point just so gas wouldn't get all over. Is that what happens if the overflow is blocked? didn't block it on purpose.

I'm uploading a video right now. Bike needs timing and carb synch and the right jets but it ran ok!!!! I definitely got oil pressure as I checked the galley after the first start and then I had oil blowing out of a tappet on the top end. That's good though!

Sounds killer!   What pipe is that?

Check to be sure your floats aren't sticking or touching anything.

Thanks man it's just an old kerker I think. It sounds more bassy than it would because it was in the garage and my camera mic is pretty good.

Someone on hondachopper brought up that it could be as simple as I had the IV bag up too high. Since I feel like I set the floats and everything pretty good that sounds likely to me. I had it like 2 or 3ft up.

Kerker, I thought it looked familiar.  I have one in storage I may use on my K1 build this winter.

Pull the float bowls, check the floats, lower the IV and try again.
