Which master cylinder do I have please??
« on: July 05, 2012, 09:27:30 AM »
Gentlemen please help: I ordered a master cylinder rebuild kit for a 78 750K. I know I ordered correctly. The new parts are smaller in diameter. The new plunger is 9/16 & the one I removed is 11/16. My question/s = Did I receive the wrong part or is this master cylinder off a different year cb?Just wanna know which rebuild kit I should order so I can go for a blast & also who might want this new kit I cant use?? Thank You Kindly & Have a safe ride !!!

The sohc Ks used 14mm pistons. An 11/16" is relatively huge, and will result in a rock-hard brake lever if used with a single K8 caliper. It must have come from a dual disk model...
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

Thank You very much, What do u think is my best option? Try to find a 78k master cylinder body since I already purchased all the rebuild parts for my year CB. Would u happen to know of any good resources I might be able to try to find one ??  Thanks & have a nice day !!
