Time for a change up
« on: June 20, 2006, 08:13:14 PM »
In the last year I've aquired 3 older Honda's.  1965 Honda Super 90, 1975 CB 550, 1975 CB 750... Standard issue. None of them were running. The 550 was a total rust bucket. The 65 Super 90 was a great little bike, but I sold it after much work on it. There was just too much profit to be had on this collectable.

Then after I came into the CB 750. I sold the CB 550. No profit on the 550... Actually lost money on that one. The 750 is nowhere near complete, but it is now street legal and I'm riding it daily. I really dig the Cb 750...

Now it's time for a change. I'm thinking I need a two stroke to round things out and present new challenges.

1st choice    70's Kawasaki H1 or H2                   It ain't gonna happen. Very hard to find.
2nd choice   70's Suzuki water Buffalo                They are available, but not at a price I'm willing to pay.
3rd choice    70's Yamaha RD 350                      AKA  ( The giant killer)

I found the Yamaha and just purchased it.... I guess I now need to find a Yamaha forum...
This should be really fun.....

I found the Yamaha and just purchased it....

Is that a real RD or the "upstart" LC?

Since it's a 1974 it would be a real RD...  LC's came after 1980.
