CB650 Cam in a 550

Is the 650 cam better to run than the stock 550 cam for performance in the 550?  I always thought they were the same profile, does the 650 have more duration or lift or both?

They fit with about 1mm more lift.  Dont know about duration as cant find stock #s to compare.
There seems to be a diff in the tack speed.  Dont know if its the cam or the drive of tack its self.

I have a 650 cam in my 550 race bike as I'm tlod from the previous owner

The bike runs awesome, like a house on house

I have a issue with the tach and were told it had something to do the the cam change

Tach show a couple thousand more rpm than it should

Other then that, she runs great

If I ever make it to the track this year after a couple days was going to get a perf 550 cam and see how much/little it helped.
