Topic: 1981 CB650C Front Brake Locked - Can't find Master Cylinder return

Riding home from work yesterday, about 5-10 minutes into the ride the bike started to slow down.  I noticed the front brake was locked.

I've searched the forums and read several threads about the return hole in the master cylinder being blocked.  Though looking into the MC reservoir I don't see anything that could be the return hole.

I'm planning to pull off and rebuild the calipers this weekend, but wanted to also check/clear the return hole if at all possible.

Where is it in this picture?

The return hole is in the metal housing below the plastic cup. You must remove the cup to access the return hole.

Are there any instructions on how to remove the plastic cup/reservoir?

it's a bugger to get out, but I used 2 knives(dinner ones not sharp) slip them in and twist them.

I used a big screwdriver. It doesn't want to, but it can be coaxed out.

I popped it off, cleaned the returned hole underneath which was blocked as suspected.
